You can use this procedure to configure the telephony service providers available on your telephony server.

Membership in the local Administrators group, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure. Review details about using the appropriate accounts and group memberships at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=83477.

To configure a telephony service provider
  1. Open the Telephony Snap-in.

  2. In the console tree, click the server you want to manage.

  3. On the Action menu, click Manage Providers.

  4. Select the telephony service provider you want to configure, and then click Configure.

    If Configure is not available, then the telephony service provider does not have any settings that you can change.

Additional considerations
  • To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the local computer, or you must be designated as a telephony administrator. For more information, see Designate Telephony Administrators.

  • The settings you can change depend on the telephony service provider.

  • You can also configure telephony service providers on the local computer using Phone and Modem Options in Control Panel.
