You can use this procedure to specify that the telephony server update the status information for the devices that are attached to it, such as lines and phones, automatically, at an interval you select.

Membership in the local Administrators group, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure.

To enable auto updates for telephony devices
  1. Open the Telephony Snap-in.

  2. In the console tree, click the server you want to manage.

  3. On the Action menu, click Properties, and then click the Auto Updates tab.

  4. Select the Enable device status auto updates check box.

  5. Next to Interval, type the Hours and Minutes between automatic updates.
