The following checklists provide tasks for the administrator to complete to make RemoteApp programs and virtual desktops available to users through RemoteApp and Desktop Connection.

In addition to the checklists, the following are important considerations about deploying and accessing RemoteApp and Desktop Connection:
- To access RemoteApp and Desktop Connection
from the Start menu of a client computer, the computer must
be running Windows 7.
- To access RemoteApp and Desktop Connection
from a Web browser, the client computer must be using at least
Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) 6.1 and at least Internet
Explorer 6.
- To provide users access to RemoteApp and
Desktop Connection (either from the Start menu or from a Web
browser), you must install and configure the Remote Desktop Web
Access (RD Web Access) role service on a computer that is
running Windows Server 2008 R2.
- To provide users access to personal virtual
desktops, the functional level of your Active Directory domain must
be at least Windows Server 2008.
- All servers must be members of an Active
Directory domain.
