You can use this procedure to split a DHCP IPv4 scope.

Membership in the Administrators or DHCP Administrators group is the minimum required to complete this procedure.

To split a DHCP scope
  1. Open the DHCP Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in.

  2. In the console tree, double-click the DHCP server you want to configure.

  3. Right-click IPv4 and then right-click the scope you want to split.

  4. Click Advanced and then click Split-Scope.

  5. Follow the instructions in the DHCP Split-Scope Configuration Wizard.

    Note

    The DHCP Split-Scope Configuration Wizard is only available for IPv4 scopes.
