Membership in the local Administrators group, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure.
To create a recurring event |

Open Windows System Resource Manager. To open Windows System Resource Manager, click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Windows System Resource Manager.

In the Connect to Computer dialog box, select This computer, and then click Connect.

In the console tree, expand Calendar, right-click Calendar Events, and then click New Recurring Event.

In the New Recurring Calendar Event dialog box, in the Event name box, type a name for the event.
Note A recurring event name cannot start with a hyphen (-) and cannot contain spaces or the following characters: , \ / * ; ? : " | - < or >.

Under Event associations, click Policy name or Schedule name, and then do one of the following:
- If you clicked Policy name, select a
resource allocation policy with which to associate the recurring
event.
- If you clicked Schedule name, select a
schedule with which to associate the recurring event.
Note At least one schedule object must exist to be able to select Schedule name.
- If you clicked Policy name, select a
resource allocation policy with which to associate the recurring
event.

If you clicked Policy name, under Start and end time do the following:
- In the Start box, enter a time for the
policy to begin.
- In the End box, enter a time for the
policy to end.
- In the Duration box, enter a value for
the length of time that the policy will be in effect.
- In the Start box, enter a time for the
policy to begin.

Decide if you want the event to recur on a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis, and then under Recurrence pattern, do one of the following:
- Click Daily. In the Recur every
box, specify (in days) how frequently the event should recur.
- Click Weekly. In the Recur
every box, specify (in weeks) how frequently the event should
recur, and then, in the check boxes provided, select one or more
days.
- Click Monthly, and then do one of the
following:
Click Recurring on day. In the spaces provided, type a numeric value for the day of the month on which the calendar event should run and a numeric value (in months) for how frequently the event should recur.
Click Recurring on the. In the lists, select first, second, third, fourth, or last, select the day on which the calendar event should run, and then type a numeric value (in months) for how frequently the event should recur.
- Click Yearly, and then do one of the
following:
Click Recur every. In the list, select a month, and then type a numeric value for the day on which the calendar event should run.
Click Recur on the. In the lists, select first, second, third, fourth, or last, select the day, and then select the month on which the calendar event should run.
- Click Daily. In the Recur every
box, specify (in days) how frequently the event should recur.

Under Recurrence range, in the Start box, select a date for the policy to take effect.

Click No end date, or click End on and specify an ending date, and then click OK.
Additional considerations
- When you create or modify calendar events or
schedules, the time values that you specify will be expressed in
the local time of the server. All time values displayed in the
Windows System Resource Manager interface or saved to an XML file
will also be expressed in the local time of the server.
