Control Details

Authenticated Access

Under Authenticated Access, you can modify the type of authentication that this UDDI Services site uses. Select from the following options:

  • Windows Integrated and UDDI publisher authentication: This site supports authenticated publications using Windows Integrated authentication or UDDI Publisher authentication, as described in section 5.3 of the UDDI Services 3.0 Specification.

  • UDDI publisher authentication: This site supports authenticated publications using UDDI Publisher authentication only, as described in section 5.3 of the UDDI Services 3.0 Specification.

  • Windows Integrated publisher authentication: This site supports authenticated publications using Windows Integrated authentication only. If this type of authentication is selected, you can also select:

    • Authentication for read (inquiry) access: If this option is selected, this UDDI Services site mandates the use of Windows Integrated authentication for UDDI Inquiry API requests into this site.

For more information, see Configure UDDI Services Security.

Secure Communications

Under Secure Communications, you enable or disable Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption for communication with the UDDI Services site. SSL encryption provides increased security for communications between client computers and the UDDI Services Web server component.

Important

If you use SSL encryption for this site, you must have an SSL authentication certificate for the installation of Internet Information Services (IIS) that hosts the UDDI Services Web server component; otherwise, UDDI Services will not function.

Cryptography

You can adjust the expiration of the SOAP authentication token and cryptography key time-out settings for UDDI Publisher authenticated publications.
