In Windows Server 2008 R2 you can use Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration to configure the settings on the local Remote Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host) server, or to connect to another RD Session Host server and configure the settings for that RD Session Host server remotely.

Important

You can only use Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration in Windows Server 2008 R2 to configure an RD Session Host server running Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2.

To connect to another RD Session Host server by using Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration
  1. On the RD Session Host server, open Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration. To open Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration, click Start, point to Administrative Tools, point to Remote Desktop Services, and then click Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration.

  2. On the Action menu, click Connect to Remote Desktop Session Host Server.

  3. In the Select Computer dialog box, select Another computer, type the name of the computer in the box or click Browse to search for the computer, and then click OK.
