You can disconnect from a Remote Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host) server in Remote Desktop Services Manager if you do not need to actively monitor the sessions and processes on the RD Session Host server.

To disconnect from an RD Session Host server
  1. In Remote Desktop Services Manager, in the left pane, click the RD Session Host server from which you want to disconnect.

  2. On the Action menu, click Disconnect. A red down arrow on the icon associated with the computer indicates that you are no longer connected to the computer.

To disconnect from all RD Session Host servers in an RD Session Host server group
  1. In Remote Desktop Services Manager, in the left pane, click the RD Session Host server group that you want to disconnect from all RD Session Host servers that are a member of that group.

  2. On the Action menu, click Disconnect All. A red down arrow on the icon associated with the computer indicates that you are no longer connected to the computer.
