Note

The ability to make a drive light blink depends on your hardware. If your storage subsystem does not support this feature, the Blink Drive Light action will not be available.

Membership in the local Administrators group, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure. Review details about using the appropriate accounts and group memberships at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=83477.

To make a drive light blink

  1. In the console tree, click Drives.

  2. In the Results pane, click the drive whose light you want to blink.

  3. In the Actions pane, click Blink Drive Light.

  4. In the Blink Drive LED dialog box, click Start.

  5. Click Stop when you have identified the drive.
