The information displayed under RIP in the RRAS MMC snap-in includes the interfaces that can send and receive router table updates by using the Routing Information Protocol (RIP).
By default, RIP does not appear under IPv4 in the MMC snap-in until you install it.
Note | |
If you use multiple IP routing protocols, configure only a single routing protocol per interface. |
To install RIP |
-
In the RRAS MMC snap-in, expand IPv4, right-click General, and then click New Routing Protocol.
-
In the New Routing Protocol dialog box, select RIP Version 2 for Internet Protocol, and then click OK.
- To configure server-wide settings for RIP,
right-click RIP, click Properties, and then configure
the settings on the IPv4 - RIP – Properties page.
- To configure an interface to use RIP,
right-click RIP, click New Interface, select the
interface on which you want to enable RIP, and then click
OK.
- To configure RIP settings for a single
interface, click RIP. In the list of RIP interfaces,
right-click the interface, and then click Properties to
display the IPv4 - RIP - Interface – Properties page.
