You can set up alias domains that use the same settings as the default domain. Messages that are received by Windows Server 2008 SMTP Server for the alias domain are put in the Drop directory designated for the default domain.

Procedure

To configure an alias domain

  1. Expand the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) virtual server, and then right-click Domains.

  2. Point to New, and then click Domain. The New SMTP Domain Wizard starts.

  3. In the New SMTP Domain Wizard, click Alias, and then click Next.

  4. Type a name for the alias domain, and then click Finish.
