This topic explains how to add the SMTP snap-in manually.

To add the SMTP snap-in manually

  1. On the Console menu, click Add/Remove Snap-in.

  2. In the Available snap-ins box, select Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0.

  3. Click Add.

  4. From the Selected snap-ins list, select Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0.

  5. Click Edit Extensions.

  6. Select SMTP Protocol. Click OK.

  7. Click OK to close the Add or Remove Snap-ins dialog box.
