A route domain is designated for the remote domain and overrides the smart host setting for the SMTP virtual server.

Change the route domain setting. The route domain cannot be the same as the default domain or any alias domain.

The default domain or an alias domain is designated as the smart host. You cannot use a local domain for the smart host.

Change the smart host setting in the Advanced Delivery dialog box, accessed by clicking Advanced on the Delivery tab.
