To start or stop outgoing faxes |

Open Fax Service Manager.

In the left pane, right-click Fax, and then click Properties.

On the General tab, do the following:
- Select Disable submission of new outgoing faxes to
prevent users from submitting new faxes to the Outgoing folder.
Clear this check box to restart fax submissions.
- Select Disable transmission of outgoing faxes to prevent
faxes from being sent from the Outgoing folder. Clear this check
box to restart fax transmissions.
- Select Disable submission of new outgoing faxes to
prevent users from submitting new faxes to the Outgoing folder.
Clear this check box to restart fax submissions.

You can also stop the Fax service directly to prevent faxes from being sent or received. For instructions, see Stop the Fax Service. |
Additional considerations
- To configure fax components, you must be a
member of the Administrators group or you must have been delegated
the appropriate authority.
- To open Fax Service Manager, click
Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click
Fax Service Manager.
